RMH Hahn Cancer Center

RMH Cancer Center, Harrisonburg, va

The incidence of cancer across the country is now decreasing according to the National Cancer Institute, but cancer cases in our community continue to rise. That’s because we have a growing and aging population and increased screening capabilities.

That’s also why the RMH Hahn Cancer Center is here to provide patients and their families with expert cancer care right here in our community. From chemotherapy to radiation, nutrition to counseling, rehabilitation to image recovery and much more ... the Cancer Center is devoted to enhancing and saving lives. And through our Home Health Care, we offer nursing, social work, and physical and occupational therapy directly to patients in their homes.

What’s more, the Cancer Center meets the standards for a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program established by the Commission on Cancer (CoC). Approval by the CoC is granted only to those programs that provide the best in cancer prevention, early diagnosis, staging, optimal treatment, rehabilitation, and surveillance for recurrent disease and support services.

In the past 12 months, donations to the RMH Hahn Cancer Center have helped provide everything from cutting edge digital mammography equipment that better detects breast cancer to wigs for patients who lose their hair during treatment.

Your donation to the RMH Hahn Cancer Center will provide life saving equipment, upgrades in technology to ensure a high standard of care, and training for staff to keep them informed about the latest treatment techniques.

“I made a difference!” – The RMH Cancer Center Tree of Life

Many people have made a difference in the lives of cancer patients at RMH through their generous gifts. The Tree of Life at the RMH Hahn Cancer Center acknowledges those who give life by providing funds to enhance cancer care at RMH. This beautiful wall sculpture is located in the lobby of the Cancer Center and offers a permanent opportunity to honor or remember a loved one.

Donations of $1,000 or more to the Cancer Center can be recognized on the Tree of Life at the donor’s request. To learn more contact Sandy Tusing at (540) 564-7222 or stusing@rhcc.com.
