Nearly 31% of all deaths in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County are related to cardiovascular disease and stroke according to the Virginia Department of Health. That’s why access to a wide range of heart services right here in our community is so important to all of us.

Thanks in part to donor support and the opening of the RMH Heart and Vascular Center in January 2008, RMH now offers a comprehensive program of cardiac services. These services are designed to address a broad spectrum of issues. So if you have a severe, possibly life threatening condition of the heart, RMH can provide intervention, treatment and ongoing care. But if you have a healthy heart and want to keep it that way, RMH can assist with wellness and prevention. Whatever your needs are on the spectrum of care, the physicians and staff at RMH are here for you.

Recently donations to the Heart and Vascular Center have helped purchase everything from a $40,000 Intra-aortic Balloon Pump that helps open clogged arteries to gas cards for patients who couldn’t afford to travel to cardiac rehab to recover from surgery. Your donation will provide life saving equipment, cutting edge technology, and help to those who need it most.
