Sunflowers for Hope

Categories: Other

Earlier this summer the fields just outside of Harrisonburg, VA on Route 33 East  (2704 Spotswood Trail Harrisonburg, VA 22801) were painted in gold with growing sunflowers.

The Frazier Quarry opened the gate for two days of picking sunflowers and providing hope for people who are battling cancer. This year the Frazier Quarry partnered with the RMH Foundation and designated all donations to benefit the Hope Fund for Cancer Care at Sentara RMH. 8,300 people came to the fields and helped raise over $36,000 for the Hope Fund. Please view highlights of the event below. Video provided by English Jackson.

More about the RMH Foundation Hope Fund

The Hope Fund for Cancer Care ensures that someone’s financial position never determines whether or not they get the cancer care they need. Your support can help detect disease in patients with cancer sooner, expedite the care they need, and build a stronger path to recovery. Specifically, the Hope Fund provides preventive screenings for those without insurance and medications for patients who cannot afford them.

The RMH Foundation thanks the Frazier Quarry for this caring gift.
