Thank you to all the lovely women who stopped by for a picture and Emergency Department tour in July. These photos will be used in the winter Sentara RMH magazine with an article about what has been accomplished by YOU in the last 10 years!
For those of you who couldn’t make it, here is a picture of the tour group with Brandy Sollenberger, Clinical Nurse Mgr., ED. We were told the SRMH Emergency Department has 54 patient rooms servicing approximately 76,000 patients in the community and neighboring communities per year!
Another recent “thank you” has come from the Sentara RMH Orthopedic Center. Katrina Lintz, Team Coordinator writes,“I want to share with you our excitement for getting the stair chairs installed in the Center! The building’s management team received training today on the use of the stair chairs. Everyone is pleased with how easy they are to use. After witnessing the chairs in action, I feel confident it was a judicious purchase. Thank you so much for making the purchase of this equipment possible!”
These chairs were purchased so that patients could be safely removed from the upper floor of the Center in the event of an emergency where the elevators would be shut down.
And, the email with a Request for Proposals has gone out to the hospital leadership team! The due date is October 1st and the steering committee of Valerie, Carmen, Vicki, Tina, Doris, and Ruth will be reviewing the proposals and preparing the ballot prior to our final 2017 meeting on October 25, 11:45, lower level conference room. Is this on your calendar?
I’m looking forward to another “circle of giving” in this 10th year of existence and I know you are too.
Happy Giving, today and every day.
